Meet Miranda: A Dynamic Force in Commercial and Property Law at Butler McDermott Lawyers

Miranda is a dynamic legal professional whose passion for Commercial and Property law drives her to deliver exceptional, client-focused solutions. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to crafting tailored legal strategies, she excels at transforming complex legal challenges into opportunities for success. Whether refining a contract clause or navigating intricate property legislation, Miranda’s forward-thinking approach consistently makes a significant difference for her clients at Butler McDermott Lawyers.

Background & Education

Miranda’s journey into law began straight after school when she enrolled at Deakin University in Victoria to study law and criminology. Balancing full-time work with part-time study—and even undertaking a study abroad programme—she embraced early challenges with determination. Her commitment culminated in her admission to the Supreme Court of Victoria in 2022. Shortly thereafter, seeking new horizons and opportunities, Miranda relocated to Queensland where she was admitted in 2023.

Specialising in Commercial and Property Law

Miranda has carved out her niche in Commercial and Property law. Having previously led the conveyancing department at her former firm in Victoria, she brings both expertise and insight to her current role. She finds property law particularly compelling due to its interplay with various other legal areas, such as estate planning, commercial matters, and family law. Adapting to Queensland’s distinctive property legislation has presented its challenges, yet Miranda embraces these as opportunities to deepen her knowledge and refine her practice.

In the realm of Commercial law, Miranda is drawn to the practical, real-world consequences of legal decisions. “No two matters are the same,” she explains, underscoring the excitement of crafting tailored solutions that truly benefit her clients.

A Passion for Client-Centred Work

For Miranda, the essence of her work lies in the details. She derives immense satisfaction from reviewing agreements, contracts, leases, and other legal documents, where even the amendment of a single clause can significantly impact a client’s position. This meticulous attention to detail not only exemplifies her legal acumen but also her unwavering commitment to securing the best possible outcomes for those she represents.
