Daniel Morcombe Investigation
Our Sunshine Coast law firm represented the family of Daniel Morcombe at the coronial inquest into his disappearance on 7 December 2003. The Morcombe family requested an inquest by the then State Coroner Michael Barnes and the inquest opened in October 2010 at Maroochydore.
The involvement of our Nambour solicitors, headed by our Sunshine Coast previous law firm Director Peter Boyce, was extensive and involved months of preparation and weeks at the Queensland Coroner’s Court prior to it being adjourned after information transpired as a result of the inquest, which then saw Brett Peter Cowan eventually charged and convicted by Jury of Daniel’s murder.
In 2015, Peter Boyce was the subject of an Australian Story program called “The Man Behind the Morcombes”(free to view online on the link provided) produced by the ABC, which documented his experience of dealing with the Morcombe Coronial Inquest.
